Americana Revue Solo Show
Dan Ripke's Americana Revue Duet - featuring Grammy - Award winning artist Peter Madcat Ruth. The Americana Revue is a lively, story-driven acoustic music show that brings together classic songs and rich storytelling from across the American roots tradition. Blending folk, country, blues, and early rock & roll, each performance highlights the artists, history, and cultural threads behind the music. No two shows are exactly the same—whether performed solo or with a full group, the Americana Revue offers a warm, engaging experience that feels as much like a shared journey as it does a concert.

Americana Revue Trio: Dan Ripke, Peter Madcat Ruth, James Bourland
Wednesday, June 17 at 8:15PM | Rackham Stage A2SF welcomes back Grammy Award-winning harmonica virtuoso Peter Madcat Ruth and his CARMa Quartet! A hometown hero who has been living in Ann Arbor since 1970, Ruth is a fixture on the festival scene with his ukulele, jaw harp, and kalimba in addition to his iconic harmonica. With the CARMa Quartet, he continues to explore musical strands that reverberate throughout his career: American roots music, blues, folk, and jazz, presented as an eclectic mix of traditional and improvisational music. The CARMa Quartet features musicians from across the sonic spectrum, including Grammy Award-winning tabla drummer John Churchville; bassist Brennan Andes, a founding member of The Macpodz; and guitarist/vocalist Dan Ripke, who performed with the rock-bluegrass quintet Back Forty for 15 years. You can count on Peter Madcat Ruth’s CARMa Quartet to bring plenty of passion and decades of skill for a uniquely delightful performance at Top of the Park this summer!
